Privacy Policy
As a leading web privacy website, we take your privacy very seriously. Below we have clearly listed what data we store regarding your VPN account.
Registration
- What we store: Username, email address, password (encrypted) and IP address.
- Reasoning: Your username and password is used for the web based control panel and VPN client authentication. An email address is required in case you forget your password or wish to receive email newsletters. IP address is logged for anti-spam, anti-fraud and anti-abuse prevention.
- Other notes: We do not share your login data, particularly your email address with anyone. From time to time we may send out news, updates and sales offers via email which you can easily opt out of.
Payment
- What we store: Payment/expiry date and order ID.
- Reasoning: Payment and expiry dates allow our system to set when your account will expire. Order ID is a generic ID number sent to us from the payment processors API system, this is used to link your order to your username.
- What we don't store: Your name, house address, payment details such as credit card, etc. This data may be stored by the third party payment providers which handle each transaction (such as Paypal).
- Other notes: Refer to the payment providers privacy policies for information about how they use your data.
VPN Data
- What we don't store: Web traffic data for each VPN session, including but not limited to website URL's visited, protocols used, etc; WE DO NOT MONITOR ANY TRAFFIC.
Legalities
Our service is not to be abused for illegal purposes (re: TOS further down on this page). It is a huge misconception that anonymity services only exist to help criminals hide their tracks online. Actually, anonymity services help people protect their privacy online and this is the sole reason of our service.
"Amendments 4 and 5 of The United States Bill Of Rights protect the right to be free of unwarranted and unwanted government intrusion into one's personal and private affairs, papers, and possessions. Article 12 of The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights states, "No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks." Source proxy.org.
